Hello everyone!! Today I have another fun mini album to share with you!! I used the brand new Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 collection for this mini. It measures 7” by 10” with a 2.75” spine. I wanted this mini album to be fairly large so it can store TONS of photos!! I did use a hinge binding system with pocket pages. You can find a tutorial HERE from My Sister’s Scrapper. All you have to do is adjust the measurements to your liking.
Onto the mini album!!! I used lots of different Say Cheese 4 products with this collection!! The first, and probably my favorite right now is the large word dies!!! I have spread many throughout the album!! They are also very fun to use on cards!! Another favorite for this collection was the kids “bits and pieces”!! I really wanted this album to focus on children so this product was a must!! And lastly (besides loving it all), I love the coordinating solid cardstock to match the collection!! How awesome is that!!
Both the inside covers have pockets on them to store additional photos or memorabilia. I have put a handful of photomats inside of various sizes. All the pocket pages have the same large tag you pull out from the top. Another great place for extra photos and journaling.
I get asked this question lots…how do I put my photos in if elements are covering part of the photomat?? Super easy!! I don’t put adhesive down on any part that touches the photomat. That way I can easily slide in a photo. This also makes it easy if you are giving a mini album as a gift.
Lots of fun little frames and ephemera are tucked away behind larger elements. This makes a fun interactive book. Make sure to check out my Instagram page for a full walk through of this album so you can see exactly what I am talking about!!
You can see I used more of those large word dies!! To give some extra dimension, I did cut them out in two different shades and offset them to give a “shadow” look.
I hope you enjoyed this magical mini album and found some inspiration to create something of your own!! Have a wonderful day!!
I am super excited to share this vintage inspired mini album using the gorgeous Simple Stories “Simple Vintage Christmas” collection!! I absolutely LOVE this paper collection!!! It reminds me of my Grandmother and all the Christmas fun when I was little. If you are local to the Phoenix area you can find this album along with the entire collection at Scraps of Love in Peoria and Sun City West!! Get it while it lasts!!!!
This album is a simple pocket page constructed album consisting of only four pages and measuring at 6” by 7.75”. With a 2.5” spine, each page has a half inch gusset to allow plenty of room for the layered chipboard frames. These frames are simply gorgeous and made this album so easy to decorate. You can find an easy step by step tutorial on how to construct this album over on My Sister’s Scrapper YouTube channel.
Like I said before, these layered frames are gorgeous, and I didn’t need to do much to decorate my album. I did layer some stickers, bits and pieces, and some chipboard elements to each of them for some dimension.
For some added interest I did make one of my pages super big to allow my photo mat insert stick out quite a ways.
I hope you have enjoyed this mini album and are inspired to make a fun Christmas album for yourself!!
Hello everyone!! Today I want to share a BIG Halloween album with you all using the amazing Simple Stories “Simple Vintage Halloween collection!!”
I’m not joking…this album is BIG!! Measuring in at 8.5”x11”!! Halloween is my family’s favorite holiday, so I needed something massive to hold all our photos in!! Do you celebrate Halloween?? What are your favorite traditions? We love getting together with family, having a big cookout in the driveway to pass out candy…and of course taking the kids trick or treating!!
So because of the size of this album, I ended up using two collection kits. I wanted my cover to resemble an old vintage book so I used plain chipboard distressed with some Tim Holtz vintage photo Distress Stain, making sure to really saturate the edges so they would puff up and curl a bit. I also took some kraft cardstock and distressed that as well, including some splatters of black paint. This was used for my actual spine.
Each of my pages are pocket pages with the top opening for a large photomat to store lots of pictures!!
I used regular flat stickers, chipboard stickers and the bits and pieces to decorate each of the pages!!
To give me lots of extra photo space I created a waterfall in the back cover!! This is one of my favorites to put in a mini album because of how many photos you can fit into one. Plus, you can customize it to whatever size you need.
I hope you have enjoyed this BIG album and it has inspired you in some way!! Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have you seen the new collection from Paper Phenomenon??? Oh my goodness!!! It is BEYOND stunning!! The colors are so rich and vibrant!! You’re definitely going to want this collection!! I created a fun “adventure” mini album…you can check out my video over on YouTube HERE!! Enjoy!!
Hello everyone!! I have a fun little card and mini album using the Dream Big collection. I created this little gift for my son to give to his girlfriend. They are 5 and 6 years old and are inseparable!! They share a love for unicorns so this paper collection is perfect!! Young love and unicorns!!
Since this album is going to a 5-year-old I wanted the front to have a fun interactive feature so opted for a shaker element. Lots of glitter, hearts and sequins to create some “unicorn sparkles”. Paired up with the Be Younique rainbow paper it makes for a fun scene.
This mini album may be fairly small but can hold lots of photos…and let’s just say we are going to need the space!! These two love to take photos together!! The 4×6 and 4×4 papers make perfect photomats!! If you would like to see a full walk through of this album you can head on over to my YouTube channel HERE.
I only created two pages for this mini album but they are pocket pages so both have inserts for extra photos!!
The last page I used the space to create a big waterfall full of photomats, twelve to be exact!! I ran out of magnets so a paperclip and ribbon closure.
Lastly, a gift isn’t complete without a card!! Using some left over stickers and bits and pieces I had from the album.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today!! Don’t forget to head on over to my channel for a walkthrough of this mini album!!
I’ve got some really fun projects to share with you today using the AMAZING Lil’ Dude collection by Simple Stories!! As a mother of 3 boys I am always on the hunt for a good boy collection…and let me tell you, this collection does not disappoint!! I love that it can work for all ages!! So of course I was super excited to get to work and create something!! So let’s get started!!
The first project I created is a scrapbook folio. Measuring at 7” x 9.5” this “not so little” album can hold lots of photos of my boys and will be a great gift to give to their Grammy!! Hope you’re not peeking Grammy!! I created a flap closure with a magnet to give it a “notebook” feel.
When you open the folio up on the left hand side it has a pocket for tags and extra photo mats of different sizes. The 4×6 journaling cards are perfect to use as photo mats or journaling cards.
On the right hand side I created a waterfall feature. I LOVE these because they can hold so many photos or journaling in a small area!!!
Before I pack up and put a collection away after a big project I like to take the scraps to create a couple cards. It’s a great way to use those smaller pieces you don’t want to store!!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all enjoy this collection as much as I do!!!!
I am beyond excited to share a fun card and mini album I created for “someone special”!! I used the fabulous Simple Stories Good Vibes collection to create both these projects. I just love this collection so much!! The colors are so fun and vibrant. I also love the images…coffee, cellphones, fashion and lots more!! It’s all so amazing!! So, let’s get started…
This card was really easy to put together. I let the stickers and bits & pieces from the collection do all the work for me. To create the diagonal embossed lines on my white card base, I got out my scoreboard and scored at every half inch. It was very easy and gave my card some “extra” dimension.
I absolutely love how this mini album turned out!! Chevron is one of my favorite designs so I knew I wanted to use that paper for my cover. I loved it so much I ended up using it for the inside cover too!! To keep my album closed I used a simple binding clip attached to some ribbon. I tend to scrap chunky so am always needing a sturdy closure.
To create the mini album pages I used a tutorial from Ginger over at My Sister’s Scrapper. You can find her video tutorial HERE. You get a lot of real estate for only using one sheet of paper!!
Speaking about real estate, there are lots of pockets, flip-outs and even an accordion pocket to store all those special moments!! If you would like to see a full walk-through of this mini album and all of the interactive elements head on over to my YouTube channel.
Thanks for stopping by!!
