Hello everyone!! Got to love shaker cards!! They are one of my favorite interactive cards to create!! Make sure you head on over to the Craftin Desert Diva’s blog to see all the cards created by the design team!! Lots of inspiration!!
Since I live in the desert, it only seemed right to create a little desert gnome complete with some cacti and all!!
A little tip when creating a shaker card is to make sure the edges of your foam adhesive are not sticky. For those of you who don’t have a non-stick tool…no worries!!! Baby powder or corn starch rubbed on the sides works great too!!!

Looking for a cute card to send to a loved one when they aren’t feeling well?? I’ve got you!! The new Craftin Desert Divas “Critter Punnies” makes for some fun cards!! Specifically a little bear and his honey bee friends!!
Using the inside scalloped circle die I created a fun shaker card!! I even cut some extra bees out to put on the inside along with Mermaid Lagoon sequins. I also used the new Hill Scene 2 stencil to create my backdrop and spotted grass features!!
Enjoy!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Monday!!! My husband and I are headed out of town today and I couldn’t be more excited!! It’s adventure time!!
Today’s card is featuring some older Craftin Desert Divas stamps and dies along with the brand new Hill Scene 2 stencil!! Love pulling out older sets and playing with them!! This card was inspired by the Jennifer McGuire Window Pop Card. If you haven’t seen her tutorial you can find it HERE!! It’s pretty amazing and I highly recommend giving it a try!! If you follow me on Instagram you can see I am currently obsessed with making shaker cards!! So of course I had to include one in this release…or two!! But that’s for later!! For a softer cloud look I used vellum instead of acetate. I love using this technique, it’s very subtle yet still shows the shaker sequins inside!!

It’s always fun sending someone a card specifically to make them smile or laugh!! That’s exactly what this card is for…and what better way then some unicorn farts?? I love this stamp set and the punny sentiment!!! If you want to see more fun cards head on over to the Craftin Desert Divas blog!!
For this card I used the inside scalloped rectangle die to create the base of my shaker card. I decided to keep it all white to give a soft “cloud” like feel. Using the Magical Unicorns set, I colored them with my alcohol markers. I wanted them to be bright and happy so chose to keep the typical rainbow colors. I paired my images up with the Twinkle Sequins to go inside my shaker!! Lastly I used some white embossing powder with my sentiment to really make it stand out!!
Just for fun, I would love to send this card to one of you!! If you are interested in this little giveaway all you have to do to enter is answer the following question either here on my blog or on my Instagram page….”What is your favorite thing about receiving handmade cards?” I will randomly pick a winner on Monday 8/13!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
